Peter Chadwick was raised in Suffolk. He then moved to London where he pursued a career in photography, starting out as a fashion photographer. He then went on expeditions as a filmmaker but on the last he was injured in a fatal volcanic eruption in Ecuador. After a period of painting on glass, he returned to photography, taking portraits of actors and actresses and theatre rehearsals.
He returned to Suffolk six years ago and he now lives with his wife in the house where he was born. He has specialised in photography of views, seascapes and landscapes for the past ten years and has also studied and practised sculpture, painting, and life drawing. After attending several of Sudbourne Printmakers two-day workshops to learn etching and woodcuts he has become a full member of Sudbourne Printmakers and is now exhibiting his work.
